The Executive Board met early Sunday evening to discuss how members of The Old North State Medical Society can provide much needed assistance to care providers and patients affected by Hurricane Florence and to help people continue their care in the aftermath of the hurricane.

As Gov. Roy Cooper said in a news conference Sunday afternoon, there is “significant damage in eastern” North Carolina, saying the “risk to life is rising with the waters.”

During significant weather events, we know how difficult it can be to access healthcare due to road closures, flooding or office closures. Our member physicians can treat the most common medical issues seen in the ER and urgent care, as well as treat chronic conditions. In addition to these medical conditions, our physicians are trained to treat stress, anxiety, grief, and depression.

The following physicians and practices have indicated that they are available to see patients impacted by the hurricane or offer their assistance to communities in need of physicians. Please contact these physicians directly.

If you are a physician and would like to be added to this list, please contact us at president@onsms.org.
